The Model Car Zone 

As part of my 2026 graduating thesis, I chose to highlight the hobby of building plastic model cars. The  patience of each builder and their dedication to craft and skill was something I hoped to capture in each shot. The road to completing a model car build is similar to building a life-sized vehicle, only scaled down to fit inside a shoebox once finished. My focal point in this series goes well beyond the model cars themselves to focus on the people who build them. Young and old, their passion for building these cars is a way to escape daily life, a way to own multiple cars when they don't have the garage space for more, and a way to relive childhood dreams but with adult motor skills.
