The Model Car Zone: 2026 Senior Thesis

The hobby of building plastic model cars requires dedication and patience in order to complete a miniature reality of whatever car the builder has dreamed of. The road to completion is similar to building a life-sized vehicle, only scaled down to fit inside a shoe box once finished. My focal point in this series goes well beyond the model cars themselves to focus on the people who build them. Young and old, their passion for building these cars is a way to escape daily life, a way to own multiple cars when they don't have the garage space for more, and a way to relive childhood dreams but with adult motor skills.
